Nein, das Foto ist Ausdruck einer dicken Maler-Freundschaft. In den 1960er Jahren waren Richter und Polke beste Kumpels.

Die beiden Künstler studierten zusammen an der Kunstakademie Düsseldorf, veranstalteten 1966 eine Gemeinschaftsausstellung und ließen sich zusammen in einer Badewanne ablichten.

Das Museum Morsbroich in Leverkusen zeigt die ungewöhnlichen Früchte dieser Künstlerfreundschaft in der Ausstellung „Schöne Bescherung“ (13. März bis 28. August).

Morsbroich war jüngst in die Schlagzeilen geraten: Wirtschaftsprüfer schlagen die Schließung des überregional angesehenen Museums vor, damit die verschuldete Stadt Leverkusen ihre Sparvorgaben erfüllen kann.

Der Vorschlag hatte einen Proteststurm der Museen und Kulturverbände ausgelöst. Auch Richter hatte öffentlich protestiert.
